ABOUT

The first annual Atlantic Mine Rescue Competition and Training Symposium will take place in St. John's and Mount Pearl in Newfoundland and Labrador. The competition itself will take place at the Glacier Arena in Mount Pearl. The week will start off with a meet and greet at an undisclosed location in St. John's on Wednesday, May 20th, 2026. This will be followed by high-quality classroom and hands-on training facilitated by industry leaders at the Glacier Arena in Mount Pearl and the surrounding area on May 21 and 22. The crescendo of the event is the mine rescue competition itself, also taking place at the Glacier Arena. This will be followed by a great evening of celebration at the banquet and awards ceremony.
